Harvey’s career has spanned an electrical business, 15 years at the mine, 5 years in crop insurance, 7 years managing a John Deere dealership, managing a trucking business, all the while helping grow a 1500 acre farm to 15,000 acres. Harvey loves to mentor our team, find ways to tackle the impossible and find more efficient ways to get things done. He is the overall handy man on the farm and enjoys working with our team. Debbie Aberhart
VP of Family and Farm Team Support
Debbie started her farming career at 14 years of age, spending quality time with Harvey picking roots and stones with the stone boat!! At 18 years of age she became Mrs. Harvey and he bought her a JD tractor and a Degelman rock picker. Together they operated a dairy farm of 25 Holsteins for the first 5 years and started raising their family of 3 children. Harvey soon promoted Debbie to bookkeeping, cultivating, harrowing and seeding. Harvesting was a team effort. Debbie preferred to haul grain so she could deliver meals to the field with the tandem truck, but would drive the combine whenever Harvey needed to go fix whatever was “down”. Today Debbie helps as a relief cook for meals to the field and loves being a “cheery” Grandma Go”pher”, running for kids, parts and the farm team. She especially cherishes family time with the grandchildren and children. Debbie has enjoyed a variety of off farm careers and is currently employed as a casual Prairie Mountain Health Proctor. Going to church, walking, dancing and bowling are just some of her favorite things to do…but best of all, she loves riding on the back of the Harley with “her Harvey”!
